It was quite a weekend for our 11U Grimsby Coyotes. In just their first showing at the OBA's in their 4 years as a team, they showed everyone in Listowel that they are for real. After winning both their games Friday night they road into Saturday with a bye, and a matchup vs the #1 contender in the Listowel Legionnaires.
The game did not go as planned that evening but it still set them up with a semi final game Sunday vs the Stratford Nationals. This was a back and forth game that saw our Grimsby Coyotes pull off an 8-7 victory and set up a rematch with Listowel for the 11U C Division OBA Championship. The final matchup saw Listowel take a well fought victory by edging Grimsby 7-3 in the final.
Congrats to all of our 11U Coyotes and Head Coach Adam Young on an amazing OBA Provincial weekend and bringing home the Silver Medal. Tryouts for this team and many others in the Grimsby Coyotes baseball program are set to kickoff the last 2 weeks of September.
