Your 14U Grimsby Coyotes led by Head Coach Mike Bennett competed in a highly intense B Provincial Championship this past Labour Day weekend … and were crowned Provincial Champions!
These Coyotes played some very tough competition from across the Province, besting all teams they competed against. In the preliminary rounds, the Coyotes were down multiple runs to arch rivals Simcoe Giants and St. Thomas Cardinals.
In both games, the Grimsby boys had last at bats and rallied back to win them both on a walk-off. They then faced perennial favourite, Chatham Diamonds and played one of their best games of the season to come out on top 13-7. In the final, winner take all game, the Coyotes faced a determined opponent from host Kingsville Knights, and once again took care of business to come out on top 12-7 and walk away as OBA Provincial Champions!
