PLAYER EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

If you are new to baseball, getting started in either T-Ball, Hardball or Softball will require 3 key items you will need to purchase to play the sport. A proper baseball glove, batting helmet and either running shoes or non-metal cleats. Team bats will be supplied but are another option should you wish to purchase one. If you plan on purchasing a bat, PLEASE inquire with us about the appropriate bat to purchase for your child.

BASEBALL GLOVE

Players will need to have an official T-Ball or hardball glove. When choosing a glove take into account the ball they will be playing with. Also keep in mind that when deciding on a glove that the plastic beginner gloves may fit their hand well but do not allow a child to create a pocket in the glove or have the ability to open and close the glove properly. They also have no padding and can lend to players getting hurt. Leather is highly recommended.

BATTING HELMET PROTECTION

All players must own a proper batting helmet with chin strap.

CLEAT REGULATIONS

All divisions are permitted to wear cleats but they must be non-metal cleats.

GBL LEAGUE UNIFORM

- Hat | Jersey | Pants -

*Jr. T-Ball receives a Hat & Jersey only

Your complete league uniform must be worn on the field for all league games and shirt tucked in. No alterations to the uniform are permitted without consent from the league. League umpires are asked to reinforce these rules to create professionalism on the playing field.
